Confession

This weekend I may have done one of the grossest things I have ever done. I was going to qualify that with "the grossest things I have done as a mother", but on second thought it is one of the grossest things I have ever done.... period.

Curran tends to be a tiny bit constipated. It's probably because she drinks a half gallon of milk a day. So, without getting too graphic, she tends to be a little "firmer" than, say, Brayden who has always shit like a goose.

On Saturday we went to the playground up on Catawba. I looked over at Curran and saw that she looked like she was growing a tail. Turns out she had a poo pebble in her diaper. At first I thought - I'll just wait until we get home and change her. Much like Brayden, she could sit in shit for hours and not bat an eyelash. Well, then the playground got crowded with parents and kids and the smell of Curran was disrupting others. Once I saw another parent make a face when they got close to her, I knew something needed to be done.

I had no diapers, but I did have a wipe with me. So I took Curran behind a fence, reached into her diaper with the wipe and pulled out the sizable poo stone. I then took the poo and threw it into the field behind the playground. I was so stealth Steve didn't even notice. Gross? Yes. Necessary? I think so. Lots of hand sanitizer used? Absolutely.

Like I mentioned, we were up at Catawba this weekend (as we usually are). Since it was only 68 or something ridiculous on Saturday, we took the kids put-putting. They had lots of fun. We also took them on go-carts, which they both loved. This weekend is my girls weekend at the house and should be lots of fun. Probably not as ridiculous as Steve's weekend, but lots of fun I am sure. Here are some pics from the last week:

***You may have noticed that there aren't as many pictures lately of Brayden as there are of Curran. This isn't because I love Curran more. In fact, I often contemplate taking her back to Fairview Hospital. Brayden has decided that he is on a photo strike and will only let me take a picture of him if I bribe him with Tootsie Roll pops and/or popcorn***

Here's the dude, showing off his new haircut and his animal pajamas. Yes, it's July, but I keep the house at 68 at night. Oh, and I am holding a bowl of Pop Secret as I take this.

Here's Imelda Marcos walking around in Mimi's shoes:

Curran loves Dad's tractor. So much so that she tries to eat the seat:

I was pinching her cheeks earlier:
